CALL TO ARMS PRESS CONFERENCE: Tank McDaniel is seated at a table, Call To Arms Press banner behind him, flanked by John Logan and Doc Wyatt.Tank: Thank you everyone for joining this press conference for Warrior Pro Wrestling’s first PPV event, Call to Arms. I have a couple announcements, then we will open it up for questions for myself or John and Doc. Call To Arms will be streamed live on August 3rd from the San Jose Arena. We’re running a bigger venue for our first show- we want this to feel special. We have most of the card booked. Matches are: 30 min time limit Tank vs Young Gun Castillo
30 min time limit “Perfection” Jack Gold vs “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins
60 min time limit Kevin Hunter/Brick vs Vic Baron/Austin Baron
TBD vs TBD
World Heavyweight Championship (Tank McDaniel Special Referee) 60 min time limit John Logan vs “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt I will be appointing myself as the referee in the main event, a practice that will become regular for our big shows. I want the responsibility of making sure these matches are called correctly, without controversy. We also have one more match to make, which will hopefully be announced at the house show. Questions? Reporter: Any update on Roy Carter? Tank: He has three fractured ribs. He’s out of the hospital but I don’t have a timetable for his recovery. He has asked to make a statement at our first house show next week, so we’ll see how he’s feeling then. Reporter: What about Machine Gun Mayhem? Tank: What Machine Gun did was uncalled for, and he has been suspended indefinitely until we figure out what we are going to do with him. Reporter: Tank, how is it going to feel to get back into the ring as a competitor? Tank: I’m excited about it. Castillo is one of our most promising Young Guns, I’m hoping we can both put on an exciting match, and you all can get a glimpse at what our new training center is producing. I’m also going to clothesline him into the weekend. LaughsReporter: Doc- what does it mean to have a chance to be the first heavyweight champion in the company? Wyatt: How does it feel? It feels… perfect. I’m honestly not sure why I wasn’t just given the title from the start. What was the point of this whole tournament? Or this match to be honest? John Logan isn’t anyone. Who’s heard of him? What accomplishments does he have? I am exactly what this company needs- what it wants- as its face. I’m a role model for everyone outside the ring, and unmatched inside it. I clearly won my bracket in that silly tournament. I've entered the 49th Parallel- representing this company mind you- and will win that as well. I'm an ambassador for not just Warrior Pro but the sport in general. John Logan can keep telling people he’s the best in the world, but the reality is you’re already looking at him. Reporter: John, what are your thoughts on this match? Logan: My dream has always been to climb the mountain, to be the man and carry a company on my back. This is my opportunity to do just that. Warrior Pro is destined for great things, and I’m the guy that’s going to take them there. I believe that in my heart. But that guy over there makes a mockery of everything. He disrespects the company, its owner, and its fans. He wants to talk about representing something bigger? THAT asshole is a fraud. At Call To Arms, I’m going to expose him. He cannot hold a candle to me in the ring. The reality is he isn’t in my league. He wears those suits because underneath is a scared, fragile little man. That belt right there? That’s my destiny. And come August 3rd, when Doc Wyatt is staring at the lights watching me be anointed the first ever WPW heavyweight champion, he’s going to realize what everyone else already knows- I’m the best fucking wrestler in the world today. Both wrestlers get up for the stare down photo op, after which Doc slaps Logan in the face, smiles and backs off while Tank restrains Logan…

The road to Call To Arms reached its last stop before the final destination, and it did not disappoint. All three matches proved to be entertaining affairs, and the post-match antics served as a taste for what’s to come on August 3rd LIVE ON TWITCH. Scroll down for full matches, recaps, and “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins vs “Young Gun” SimmonsRecap: Jimmy Hawkins needed a win, and he didn’t waste the opportunity to show the young rookie what it will take to make it on the main roster. After getting in some early offense, Simmons couldn’t find an answer to Hawkins speed. It wasn’t long before Simmons was on his back looking up at an incoming Hawk Splash. The win should help refocus “Flyin” Jimmy ahead of his upcoming match with the newly signed Jack Gold… Winner: “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins Rating: **After the wrestlers exited the ring, Roy Carter- ribs heavily bandaged- enters and grabs a mic:“Perfection” Jack Gold vs Kevin HunterRecap: If this match is any indication, the future of Warrior Pro is a bright one. A classic speed vs power saw Gold land move after move working around Hunter’s lumbering power. But when Hunter got his hands on Gold, he tended to rag doll him across the ring. The finish saw Hunter get gassed, and allowed Gold the opening he needed to eventually put the big man on his back. The win gives Gold a powerful statement heading into his match in two weeks with Jimmy Hawkins. The loss for Hunter is an unfortunate hiccup after his impressive Golden Gate Tournament showing. He’ll look to bounce back in tag team action at C2A. Winner: “Perfection” Jack Gold Rating: ****The Barons vs Brick and John LoganRecap: This, put frankly, was an all-out war. All four men have close ties to each other from the WoFW days, yet that kinship did not translate to anyone holding back. The action was fierce from the jump, but the lack of chemistry between Brick and Logan was visible as both kept trying to end the match near the opponent’s corner. The Baron family used teamwork to their advantage, and after Vic hit his second G2S on Logan, it was lights out for the perspective champion. Winner: The Barons Rating: ***After the match Doc Wyatt made his way to the ring as The Barons celebrate their victory and head to the back. Logan is sitting in the ring, still recovering from the match. Brick, with a frustrated look glares at Logan as he makes his way around the ring. As he sees Doc grab a mic he walks by him and gives him a cold stare as he walks to the back. Doc quickly moves aside…After the show, reporters caught up with a few of the wrestlers: Jack GoldJimmy Hawkins After the show went off the air, a video was posted on WPW.comThe video plays the post-match beat down MGM gave Roy Carter on a loop, with text flashing on top: I ACCEPT

Call To Arms is officially hours away, and after a 2 month build it is shaping up to be a hellova show. Official start time is 3:30 PST on TWITCH but we’ll probably kick off a little early with 1-2 “dark” matches to unofficially debut some tag teams and make sure the stream is stable.
The full show will be available right afterwards, and the usual match recaps and post show promos will likely be up either later tonight or tomorrow.
The official card for tonight:
Tank McDaniel vs Young Gun Castillo Tank will be wrestling singles for the first time in almost 5 years, and his first in the US in over 10 (his last singles match was in Dragon Fire Wrestling in Japan). His opponent will be one of the more promising rookies, Castillo, who‘s combination of size and athleticism should give him the slightest chance to upset. But despite his age, Tank still carries a ton of power in those closelines of his, and if Castillo can’t avoid them it’s likely game over for the Young Gun.
“Perfection” Jack Gold vs “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins This one should be fast paced from the get go. Both are hungry to prove themselves, and both are coming off decisive victories at the last house show. A win for Jack Gold would give him two in a row over up and coming talent and reason to start looking at the top half of the roster. A win for Hawkins starts to erase the goose egg he put up at the GG tourney last month. Expect lots of spotty goodness and showboatery from this budding So Cal rivalry.
Kevin Hunter & Brick vs The Baron Family An all-star tag match that should be a hard hitting affair. Vic Baron will be looking for redemption from his tourney loss to Kevin Hunter, and another win after pinning John Logan at the house show would make his case for singles contention. Both Hunter and Brick see this match as an obstacle to getting back to title contention, and the plan seems to be to blast through it. This match will come down to power vs technique, and either way no one is walking out of the ring unscathed.
Roy Carter vs Machine Gun Mayhem Street Fight The semi-main event. A good old fashion grudge match. After a war of a match at the GG tourney, Machine Gun took to beating Roy with a baseball bat- cracking two ribs in the process. Carter’s response- a no DQ, non-sanctioned street fight. Expect blood and carnage in this one. Roy took Machine Gun to the limit in their first match, but one has to wonder how healthy he will be, and whether or not his ribs will hold up. Either way, the win may be secondary to each man trying to hurt the other.
John Logan vs "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt (Championship match) Tank Special Referee The MAIN EVENT. Logan went undefeated in the GG tourney to win his block outright. Doc back door-ed his way in with two draws. There has been talk back and forth for 2 months, and finally we get to see it settled in the ring for the inaugural heavyweight championship. Tank McDaniel has said he will referee this match himself, and a last minute no DQ, no count out stipulation has been added to the match. Doc has made no secret his view that Tank has it out for him, and promises a “contingency” to ensure he gets a fair shake. This should be a good one, and the winner will forever be etched in history

Call to Arms was an exciting first show, and the implications should set the stage for the September show set to be announced in the coming weeks. See below full matches and recaps, including post match angles and promos.
Pre Show Match: Reed Brothers vs Massholes
Tank McDaniel vs "Young Gun" Castillo
Recap: The legendary owner stepped into the ring for first time in over 5 years, and did not disappoint- taking it to the young rookie right from the opening bell. He seemed to have the match over early, hitting his famous "Irish Driver"...only to see the rookie kick out. Castillo then mounted some offense of his own, putting the Hall of Famer off balance- and giving the Young Gun an opening to hit his own finisher... for a long 2 count. Tank seemed re-gather himself after that, scoring a couple of axe bombers and pick up the victory. Winner: Tank McDaniel Match Rating: ***
After the match, Tank pulls up the rookie, shakes his hand and raises it up as both wave to the crowd and walk out together
"Flyin" Jimmy Hawkins vs "Perfection" Jack Gold
Recap: Both competitors came into this match trying to make a name for themselves, and they did their best to do just that. High flying and fast paced from the beginning, both wrestlers took turns asserting their offense early on, until Jack Gold seemed to take the upper hand with two high flying sequences leading into an X factor that resulted in a close near fall. Hawkins fought back, and followed up his trademark senton with a Hawk Splash that seemed to be the finish...except Gold kicked out right before three. Gold mounted a comeback of his own, getting a near fall on a hurricarana before nailing his 24 Karat senton for the 3 count. Winner: Jack Gold Match Rating: ****
Post Match: Jack Gold helps up Hawkins and offers a hand shake. Jimmy considers and then goes to accept, but Gold turns the shake into an X factor. He screams "You can't touch me!" at an unconscious Hawkins before leaving the ring as the crowd rains boo's.
Baron Family vs Brick and Kevin Hunter
(NOTE: The first part of the match wasn't recorded due to a technical issue)
Recap: This was a war. Hard strikes and big throws from the jump, with issues coming up when neither team seemed to be able to score pin falls close to their own corner. Austin hit a stunner early, and Brick hit a choke slam but both were in enemy territory and prevented anyone from capitalizing. Advantages were traded back and forth, and eventually the match spilled out of the ring, where Brick landed another choke slam on the arena floor. But before he could get the Barons back in the ring, the momentum had swung the other way and perhaps for good. The Barons got Brick up and landed a double team powerbomb... which Brick no sold. But the damage may have been done- both big men looked gassed, and after a wild sequence of 4 back grapple reversals Vic Baron cross arm suplexed Brick for the pin. Winner: Baron Family Match Rating: ***
Post Match: The Barons celebrate and walk to the back. Hunter walks over and helps up Brick, who shoves him away, points and shouts "Back the fuck up." Hunter looks at him in shock, Brick walks past him, giving a shoulder bump as he exits the ring. Hunter stays in the ring with a confused look before exiting behind him...
Non-Sanctioned Street Fight: Machine Gun Mayhem vs Roy Carter
Recap: This one spent no time before breaking down into a weapons brawl. Both men took turns swinging a barbed wire bat at each other, with Carter getting busted open faily early. Carter tried to stay aggressive but it was obvious that his ribs were not healed, and at less than 100% he wasn't going to get past Machine Gun. MGM took a baseball bat from Roy and countered it into a triple powerbomb that Roy couldn't get up from. Winner: Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: **
Post Match: Machine Gun continued to assault Roy until officials came to the ring. Machine Gun stopped and walked out, but not before stepping on Roy's ribs as he walked out. For the second straight match, Roy had to be carted out of the ring by the medical team.
Heavyweight Championship Match: John Logan vs "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt (Tank special guest referee)
Recap: The main event of the evening to crown the first Warrior Pro champion. Doc spoke of "contingencies" but surprisingly the match went on without any funny business. Both men went at it from the start, hard hitting and brawling all over the ring. Logan hit an early Logan's Run that looked to make the match quick, but Doc kicked out at 2. The match spilled outside, where both men exchanged slams to the floor. back inside Doc seemed to take over, going up top for a flying fist, and setting up a figure four in the middle of the ring. Logan was able to get the ropes, and seemed to be mounting a comeback before Doc countered a jumping piledriver and turned it into a running superman punch to the back of the head for the three count. Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Doc Wyatt Match Rating: ****
After the match...
