An Overview and History of Warrior Pro Wrestling

Welcome to Warrior Pro Wrestling!

Brief History:
In 2016, after years of losing money following the passing of owner Mack Vincent, World Federation of Wrestling officially closed its doors for business. In the wake of the closure, Tank McDaniel- a legend of the sport who's WFoW run in the 80's and early 90's coincided with the companies most profitable years- gathered together a group of investors to form his own wrestling company- Warrior Pro Wrestling. Located in San Jose California, the promotion is a bit of a homecoming for Tank, who made his name working the San Francisco territory before signing nationally with WFoW, and who has called the Bay Area his home for the past 40 years. Tank has been quick to sign a variety of wrestlers both locally and from around the country with the goal of having a promotion that showcases any and all styles. There are obviously global ambitions- working relationships have been established with Lucha POWER and Dragon Fire Japan- but for now the company seems set on building a local following on the west coast.

To supplement the new promotion, Tank hired long time friend and fellow WFoW legend Austin Baron to open a Baron Family Wrestling School as the official training grounds for Warrior Pro. Baron Family Wrestling has been around since the 70's and is fabled for the number of stars it has produced. Austin has been running the school for the past 12 years and the partnership with Warrior Pro will allow the company's signed wrestlers a place to train and hone their craft, a place for “Young Gun” rookies to learn and gain extra experience, and work as a tryout center for potential new athletes.
Warrior Pro Wrestling’s home is in San Jose, California. Most house shows will take place at the newly opened Gorilla Hall in downtown San Jose.


Format:
Shows will be monthly and streamed live, with smaller house shows pre-taped and running when needed and time permitting. Warrior Pro’s Twitch channel can be found HERE
