Warrior Grounds #30 The show opens with a recap of The Bullpen interviews, before revealing the card for tonights show...Otto Alderson (DEBUT!) vs Trey TaylorRecap:Otto’s singles debut for Warrior Pro was a solid one, with a nice back and forth match before the vet sunk in a deep heel hook to claim victory. He definitely kept the hold locked in for a few seconds longer than he needed to before tossing Trey Taylor out of the ring and grabbing a mic... Winner: Otto Alderson Rating: ***Jimmy Hawkins vs Byron “Showtime” WorthyRecap:A fast paced back and forth match that saw two of Warrior Pro’s future stars out to make a name for themselves. Hawkins looked ready to end things with a Hawk Splash but missed the giant lead up elbow drop, giving Worthy an opening to sink in the 1-3-1 Trap submission. Hawkins refused to submit and passed out instead. Winner: Byron Worthy Rating: ***John Logan vs “Perfection” Jack Gold (w/Paco Pequeno)Recap:Jack Gold made his first return to a Warrior Pro rin in over two years an eventful one, pressing the pace with the former champ and landing several near falls. It didn’t help that, similar to his title defense against Vic Baron, Paco and Dungeon created distraction after distraction for Logan, nearly costing him the match on several occasions. In the end, Logan fought through the noise and hit back to back Logan Runs for the victory. Then the real mess began... Winner: John Logan Rating: ***After the match, Dungeon immediately clotheslines Logan out of his boots, before picking him up and hitting two straight Darkness Falls. Completely laid out, Paco Pequeno enters the ring with a microphone…Both Paco and Dungeon continue to stand over Logan as the show went off the air...

Warrior Grounds #31 Preview Tomorrow Warrior Pro Wrestling presents Warrior Grounds #31 from the famous Arena Antiguo in Mexico City and will combine wrestlers from both Warrior Pro and Lucha POWER. Feburary has historically been the time of year where the two promotions put on a Supercard, but with that moved to October this year, the amped up Warrior Grounds will have to tide everyone over. To promote the event, a press conference took place earlier today with both El Macho and Lefty McDaniel. The site of both men together, seemingly getting along was an odd one given the two’s rocky history the last time they co-promoted an event. Neither Lefty or Macho took questions, but both were quick to affirm that the partnership between the two companies was as strong as ever. El Macho did briefly touch on his missed match at Friday’s Tiger Stripe Pro show. He said he would give his side of the story at the show tomorrow, and that travel issues “had nothing to do with it.” The Card:Doctor Dorado vs Hexagon Jr.The show will kick off with a battle of old guard vs new guard. Dorado has looked great at local house shows, and rumor has it the wily vet has gotten himself in shape to make one last big run before age finally catches up with him. He’ll have a strong test with the former Lucha POWER champion, who is also trying to build momentum towards another run at the belt. Rampage Hunter vs Nightmare ClownThe argument could be pretty easily made that the next title shot after High Noon should be given to Rampage Hunter. The big man followed up an impressive stay in STRUGGLE with a big Warriorversary win over Big Bird Machine, before heading over to HTW to pick up an impressive win in that promotion. His minor setback in The Office could be wiped clean with a decisive win against the ever dangerous Nightmare Clown, who has started stringing together wins of his own. Music City Wrecking Crew vs Los TerriblesOtto Alderson and Bo Leslie will team up together for the first time in almost 6 years, and for the first time in Mexico in almost 15. They’ll face the superstar team of Los Terribles- Pantero Negro Jr and Lobo Muerte- in what could easily be a show stealer of a match. The winner could conceivably challenge for the Tag Titles against whoever comes out of High Noon. Lucha POWER Championship: Diego Guerrero (c) vs Dungeon Dominguez (w/Paco)Diego Guerrero will start his second reign as Lucha POWER champion with the biggest test of them all- Dungeon Dominguez. Dungeon, who has been a force under the Golden Touch banner over in The Office, will finally get the chance to win back his belt- but the big man may have more on his mind given the events of Warrior Grounds #30, and rumors that John Logan will be in the building for the match. Warrior Grounds #31 will be posted TOMORROW!

The show opens up with Lucha POWER owner El Macho making his way to the ring. Its obvious in his expression he is surprised at the amount of Warrior Pro fans in the building. The confusion quickly turns to a wide grin as he enters the ring and takes a microphone….Doctor Dorado vs Hexagon Jr.Recap:Fast paced opener that saw both men get aggressive early. Dorado looked 10 years younger, and seemed like he might be able to pull off the upset- but Hexagon hit him with a beautiful outside dive and Doctor’s knee buckled, and he couldn’t get back into the ring for the ten count. Winner: Hexagon Jr Rating: ***After the match, doctors attended to Dorado, and ended up needing to assist him to the back, with very little weight being put on that knee... Rampage Hunter vs Nightmare ClownRecap:Rampage looked out of his element at times, with Nightmare pulling out all the tricks (and weapons) he could muster to pull off the upset. But the big man managed to shrug it off, and blast Nightmare with German suplex after German suplex until the unhinged lucha couldn’t stand. Winner: Rampage Hunter Rating: ***Music City Wrecking Crew vs Los TerriblesRecap:A highly competitive back and forth tag match that saw a fun contrast in styles- the technical power of the Wrecking Crew vs the fast paced flying of the Lucha Terribles. The Wrecking Crew looked a bit rusty- unsurprising given the gap in time since they had tagged together, and this being The Animal’s first match back in over a year since a major knee injury. Otto seemed like he might be the best guy in the ring, but a fireball to the face from Lobo Muerte blinded him, and he never quite recovered. In the end it seemed Bo Leslie got winded and opened himself up, allowing Lobo Muerte to hit the Guitarra de Angel for the win. Winner: Los Terribles Rating: ****After the match, a frustrated Otto gave cheap shots to both luchas, and the Wrecking Crew beat them down and tossed them out of the ring as the crowd booed. Suddenly, on the entrance ramp... Doc, now in the ring stretches out his hand to shake. Otto looks at it, then at Bo…. Before PUNCHING Doc right in the mouth, and going to town on him as Bo stands over laughing at the sight...As the beating continues, a smug looking Vic Baron comes down to ringside...The Wrecking Crew takes a few more shots at Doc before meeting Vic on the ramp to exchange handshakes and leave the arena together...Lucha POWER Championship: Diego Guerrero (w/John Logan) (c) vs Dungeon Dominguez (w/Paco)Recap:To the shock of the crowd, and the irritation of Paco Pequeno, JOHN LOGAN came out with Diego Guerrero as a counter weight to Paco’s usual dirty tactics. The move paid off quickly, when the action spilled out of the ring- Logan wasted no time jumping Dungeon and attacking him with a flurry. While he did that, Diego took out a surprised Paco, who was suddenly without backup of his own. Logan rolled Dungeon back into the ring, and Diego wasted no time hitting a beautiful top rope move, then a running Reincarnation for the shockingly quick title defense. Winner: AND STILL Lucha POWER champion…. Diego Guerrero! Rating: ****After the match, Paco screamed at the ref while Logan and Guerrero quickly retreated to the ramp, smiling and celebrating while Dungeon stared blankly back at Logan. Logan then grabbed a microphone...

(The camera fades in on OL' ROSS GRACIE standing in the middle of the HOSS DOJO's heavily duct-taped and MRSA-ridden ring, with an assortment of students behind him, and flanked by assistant Dojo trainers SKIP LEGDAY and YUMIKO LA GRANGE.) HOSS GRACIE: Now y'all listen up. Seems that some dumb bastard who thinks he knows how to run a wrasslin' school laid down a challenge to the Dojo, and ol' Hoss has gotta answer it. So that's why I'm headin' back home to the great state Texas, and I'm gonna be wrasslin'- Wait, who was that again? SKIP LEGDAY: You know, Austin Baron, from the Baron Wrestling School. AUUUSTIIIINNN. BAAAARRRONNN. HOSS: I heard ya the first time! YUMIKO LA GRANGE: (face-palming, before walking out of frame and subsequently leaving the ring) Oh my god. HOSS: (to the camera) Now look here, you lily-livered, city slicker son of a bitch! I don't know what y'all think wrasslin' is supposed to be in Delaware- SKIP: Massachusetts. HOSS: -but I'm gonna show you how it's done in the Lone Star State! You you can sit there, with yer damn Celtic pride, eatin' yer Dunkin Donuts, and parkin' yer car in Harvard Yard, but know this: You ain't gonna be wrasslin' some Rhode Island pansy. SKIP: Bro, it's Mass- You know, what, never mind...
HOSS: You got the Ankle Rustler comin' for ya, live and in the flesh! So say yer prayers, Boston Aaron! 'Cause you done crossed the Hoss Dojo, and at High Noon, you got a date with the hangin' judge, boy!

Tonight is fight night! Warrior Pro Wrestling brings its first live show of 2022 to the state of Texas, at one of the legendary arenas and the original home of Baron Family Wrestling The Longhorn. The show is packed with a Title vs Title match, the Mutants defend their newly won Tag belts, Dungeon vs Logan in a grudge match thats almost a year in the making, and two of the more famous wrestling schools battle it out in a full fledged Dojo War. High Noon kicks off at 5:30pm PT LIVE ON TWITCH!Match Preview:Music City Wrecking Crew vs Midnight RidersThe Wrecking Crew didn’t have the debut they would have hoped for in Mexico last week, but the real news coming out of the match was their alignment with Vic Baron and Paco Pequeno. They face off against the Dallas legends who have been on staff at Baron Wrestling School for the last 6 months. A pair of generational tag teams face off in a stroke of fantasy booking that should fire up the crowd for the rest of the card. Dojo Wars: Austin Baron (Baron Wrestling School) vs Hoss Gracie (Hoss Dojo)Lots of words exchanged in this one. Both Hoss and Austin have had long successful careers (even if both refuse to admit they recognize the other), and this should be a fun brawl of two vets largely responsible for the training of the next generation of American wrestlers. Expect that whoever wins, it will likely become a story told to young trainees for years to come. “Wild Bill’s Big Gold Buckle” Championship: Red Masterson vs Hoss Haskins (iWe)The Big Buckle has an interesting history to it, and this is likely the beginning of a regular event at The Longhorn. The matchup itself should be a good ol fashion Texas brawl as two big ass Texans fight over a legendary piece of wrestling history. Tough to pick a winner in this one, but good chance in ends in a Lariat. Dungeon Dominguez vs John LoganThe drama between these two goes back a year. John Logan aligned himself with Paco Pequeno, then quickly ditched him as a part of Logan’s falling out with Midas Mathews. The problem is no one quits Paco without a cost- and the “giant” manager has made it his mission to damage Logan at every turn. After backing Vic Baron to take Logan’s world title, now he’s unleashed one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the world on the former champ. Logan got a measure of revenge when he interfered in Dungeon’s Lucha POWER title fight, but the head games are over- time to see these two beat each other up in the ring. Tag Team Championship: Bingo Hall Mutants (PEWA) (c) vs Reed BrothersThe Mutants did the one thing no one had seemed to be able to do, beat the Grim Reapers and pry their tag team belts out of their possession. The Reed Brothers will pose the first challenge to the new champs, earning the shot at the end of 2022 with wins over the Midnight Riders and Gears of War. This will be a fun style clash of brawler vs flyer to see if the Reed Brothers can bring the belts back home. World/IC Championship: Vic Baron (c) vs Doc Wyatt (c)This rivalry escalated quickly. Vic’s turn to the dark side has been jarring, but you can’t argue with the results. He has been a force to be reckoned with since last summer, and his win over John Logan was nothing short of impressive. His first defense might be the biggest match of his career. Doc Wyatt has been Intercontinental champion for 536 days, with 9 title defenses (both Warrior Pro records by a wide margin). With both titles on the line, the winner could very well claim status as the greatest wrestler in the companies young history.

Warrior Pro’s first show in Texas was an eventful one, with all titles on the line, big time grudge matches, and the first ever “Wild Bill” Big Gold Buckle match. Check out the whole show here, then Scroll down for all the recaps and post show interviews… Before the show could even kick off there was some drama backstage involving the Texas commission. Through some sort of missed paperwork, all tag matches were forbidden to use cut rules (Partners could not enter the ring without explicitly being tagged in). This seems to be news even to Baron von Baron, but regardless the two tag matches on the card were forced to adjust their strategies... Music City Wrecking Crew vs Midnight RidersRecap:This match was way more physical than you would have expected, and you could see both teams struggled to adjust to the new rules. The hall of famer Midnight Riders stood their ground admirably, even busting open Bo Leslie, but the age difference became apparent as the match wore on- and a thunderous Easy Rider from The Animal ended up scoring the victory for the Wrecking Crew. Winner: Music City Wrecking Crew Rating: ***Dojo Wars: Austin Baron (Baron Wrestling School) vs Hoss Gracie (Hoss Dojo)Recap:Two tough as nails vets squared off representing two of the more well known wrestling schools in the country. The match unfolded how you’d probably expect, more brawling than technical with the action spilling outside the ring more than once. The match likely turned when Hoss sunk in a deep kneebar on Austin, who’s knees have been shot for years and basically held together by the large braces he wears even when he’s not in the ring. Baron survived the hold but had his movements labored after- and a tumble outside the ring did him in for good, as he couldn’t even get to a full stand before the 10 count ended the match via countout. Winner: Hoss Gracie Rating: **“Wild Bill’s Big Gold Buckle” Match: Red Masterson vs Hoss Haskins (iWe)Recap:You can catch the whole match HERE. Baron von Baron called the action for this first “Buckle” match. Both big ass Texans threw their weight around in what was a highly entertaining match. Both men seemed to gas as the match wore on, though a late Texas Cloverleaf from Red Masterson looked like it might close things out. Hoss got to the ropes however, and after surviving a tumble out of the ring got back in and hit a massive ripcord lariat that took Red Masterson out of his boots. Winner: AAAND FIRST BIG GOLD BUCKLE CHAMPION- Hoss Haskins! Rating: ****After the match ringside doctors could be seen popping Red’s shoulder back in its socket. While he was able to leave the ring under his own power, he was obviously out of it, and could not move the shoulder at all... Dungeon Dominguez vs John LoganRecap:This match was a straight up war. These two powerhouses threw everything at each other, and Paco made sure his presence was felt throughout the match- smashing a lightube over the former champs head that opened up a deep gash that just gushed blood throughout the match. Dungeon tried to end it multiple times with his patent lariat into a standing moonsault, but Logan fought out every time. Eventually he found an opening to hit the Logan’s Run, and when Paco distracted the ref, Logan just bided his time and hit it a second time to pick up the massive win. Winner: John Logan Rating: *****Tag Team Championship: Bingo Hall Mutants (PEWA) (c) vs Reed BrothersRecap:A fun and highly entertaining tag match that showcased a contrast in styles. The Mutants definitely suffered from the cutplay rules, not being able to isolate the smaller Reeds and double team with their massive size advantage. The opportunistic Reeds capitalized on that, tiring out the big vets then nailing the Code Red for the win, and their first taste of gold... Winner: AAAAND NEEEEEEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS the Reed Brothers! Rating: ****World/IC Championship: Vic Baron (c) vs Doc Wyatt (c)Recap:A historical fight between two historical wrestling families with a long history with each other. This appeared to be playing out like every Doc Wyatt match- the IC champ eats a ton of early offense, mounts a comeback and claims victory. Vic was forceful to keep the pressure up and prevent a Doc comeback, but suddenly here he was, locked into a Black Cutter… except he managed to shockingly kick out of it. Doc, tired and frustrated, looked to open the tool belt to his typical tricks but before he could manage to do much of anything, Vic nailed the package piledriver and locked in the Crossface Killa deep right in the middle of the ring, and Doc Wyatt had no choice but to tap out. Winner: AAAAND WORLD/INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, Vic Baron Rating: ****After the show, Lefty McDaniel gave a brief injury update saying both Red and Austin appeared to avoid serious injury but that both would “miss some time.” Then the champions were made available to the press…The Reed Brothers:Vic Baron w/Paco Pequeno
