WRESTLING NEWS ROUNDUP After a lengthy hiatus from television, Warrior Pro Wrestling released a tentative schedule of televised house shows for the month of November and a promise of a big year end live PPV in December. To cap off the announcement, owner Tank McDaniel sat down with our editor in chief, “Razor” Ray Tolbert to discuss the state of the company and the path forward… Warrior Grounds #27 will be next Monday, November 15th (card TBA)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Warrior Pro roster will return to television with a fully healthy roster minus a rather large exception. Markus Winter went under the knife last week to repair a torn rotator cuff suffered from his vicious post match attack from Vic Baron back at Warriorversary 3. The injury, initially not expected to be much too serious, will keep him out of action till some time next year. There was no official statement from the promotion, though sources say Vic was fined a hefty 50,000 for the repeated attacks on The Last Viking. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Around the World… Dragon Fire Japan held a very news worthy press conference on Monday. Owner Shintaro Ito announced a return to touring for the first time since covid shut the country down, with shows expected to begin as early as November. Ito also introduced his newest signees, headlined by former Warrior Pro tag team champion Roy Carter. He also announced the signings of newcomers Jett Ohtani and Toa Malosi- both graduates from the renowned Dragon Academy run by Dragon Mask II. Finally, the company confirmed rumors that with the return to touring would be a tournament to crown its first heavyweight champion in over 15 years. The one night event would involve a four man tournament, with participants being the newly signed Carter, Hideki Nomo, Koji Tanaka, and Kenta Aoki. Ito confirmed that they were working on a plan to broadcast the show live but admitted the company had not confirmed a date as of yet. Lucha POWER has also quietly resumed house shows with the expectation that they will run at least one major show before the end of the year. Rumors that a Diego Guerrero vs Pantero Negro Jr title match would headline have as of now remained unconfirmed.

PRESS RELEASE Warrior Pro Wrestling is excited to announce the formation of a Women’s Division! Along with contracted talent Fiona Walsh (currently working Blackwood Academy) and Viper Lopez (currently working the independent scene), Warrior Pro has proudly signed three additional members to its roster. Below is all currently signed wrestlers and a brief bio so you, the fans, can become familiar… Della “Big Rose” WyattDella Wyatt, half sister to current reigning Intercontinental Champion Doc Wyatt, is a legend in Japan. At one point considered the top foreign women in the country- “Big Rose” has worked for every major promotion and has been the main event attraction, typically feuding with the promotion’s top babyface. A freelancer for most of her career, this is her first long term contract, and the first exposure fans in the states will have to this powerhouse. Dash YamadaA rising up and comer in Japan, Dash is the only woman to own three wins over Della Wyatt. She has all the makings of a star, but the pull to be stateside and potentially work with personal idol Yumika La Grange was enough to convince her that Warrior Pro would make a good home. Lizzy JettThis brawler has been making the rounds of the independent scene for a couple years now, slowly developing a cult following. There’s some rawness to her game, but also a ton of potential- enough that some inside this company feel like she could be a future champion sooner rather than later. Fiona WalshFiona, the first female wrestler ever signed to a Warrior Pro contract, has been working exclusively at the Blackwood Academy, spending time both as both a singles and tag champion. A relative unknown in the states before signing on, Fiona worked the independent scene back in the United Kingdom. The native of Ireland now seems to have the experience and confidence to take the next level and finally work with the promotion that originally signed her. Viper LopezDaughter of the famous luchador El Serpiente, Viper got her start in Mexico working for Lucha POWER before deciding to move back home and work the states. Similar to Fiona, Viper has been under contract to Warrior Pro for some time, but with the formation of the women’s division, this highly skilled second generation wrestler will finally have a home to show off her talent. You won’t have to wait long to see these new signings in action- at Warrior Grounds #27, a showcase match has been booked pitting Dash Yamada against the Big Rose herself, Della Wyatt Warrior Grounds #27 will take place THIS MONDAY. The card:“Young Gun” Tower (w/Brick Casey) vs Danny Angelo “Young Guns” Gunn and Memphis (w/Austin Baron) vs Gears of War Womens Division SHOWCASE Della Wyatt vs Dash Yamada MAIN EVENT: Reed Brothers vs Midnight Riders

Warrior Grounds #27 The show kicks off with “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel walking out to the ring and grabbing a microphone...“Young Gun” Tower (w/Brick Casey) vs Danny AngeloRecap:Jesus that Tower kid is huge- dwarfing Danny Angelo in the ring and even making his coach, Brick Casey, look a little more normal. This rookie had moments of impressiveness and moments of appearing like a guy that hasnt wrestled a whole lot. The highlight may have been when the big kid went out of the ring and attempted to pick a fight with both members of the Bay Ballerz. Angelo managed to avoid enough offense to hit a couple mammoth lariats to put the Young Gun away. Winner: Danny Angelo Rating: ***Roger Craig came out next, quickly followed by Warrior Pro and STRUGGLE tag team champions, the Grim Reapers, wearing Coke Brother Champs tshirts (rather mockingly I might add)…“Young Guns” Gunn and Memphis (w/Austin Baron) vs Gears of WarRecap:Young Guns put up a decent fight in this but they were always in over their heads against the former tag team champs. There was a bit of back and forth before GoW decided it was over and powerbombed the trainees through the mat for the victory. Winner: Gears of War Rating: ** Roger Craig returns to the ring, and Intercontinental Champion Doc Wyatt makes his way out to a shower of boos...As the crowd starts cheering, out to the ring comes none other that Byron “Showtime” Worthy...Byron leaves the ring while Doc flips outWomens Division SHOWCASE Della Wyatt vs Dash YamadaRecap:What a debut for the womens division. Both wrestlers went at it hard given their previous experience in Japan, and it seemed like Dash might upset the tournament favorite when she hit her patent running knee- but a failure to cover proved to be a big mistake and Della Wyatt crushed Yamada with a thunderous choke slam for the victory. Winner: Della “Big Rose” Wyatt Rating: ****MAIN EVENT: Reed Brothers vs Midnight RidersRecap:A fun nostalgia match for the fans, many of which hadn’t seen the Riders perform live in close to 20 years inside a California ring. The hall of famer’s put on a good show and pressed the pace of the match, but the younger Reeds- who looked sharp and focused- proved too much to handle and picked up a very entertaining win. Winner: Reed Brothers Rating: **** To close out the show, Roger Craig comes out for one final interview with the World Heavyweight Champion, John Logan... Just then, none other than Paco Pequeno- along with Dungeon Dominguez- walk to the ring, mic in hand. Paco stops short of entering the ring, instead preferring to address Logan outside... Just then, from behind Vic Baron lays out Logan with a skull crushing chair shot, then proceeds to put him in the Crossface Killa as officials race to the ring to break up the attack. Before they get there, Vic quickly releases the hold and he, Paco, and Dungeon escape through the crowd as officials check on Logan with the show going off the air...

WPW and HTW Legal Battle?
An unusual legal battle has erupted over the last week between Warrior Pro Wrestling and Humble Talent Wrestling over the rights to use “End of the World” as a supercard name. Warrior Pro first used the name last year, though HTW has been actively using it as its end of year event name for several years. Though Warrior Pro has yet to name their rumored December show, there was apparently enough expectation that End of the Year would be an option, leading to last Saturday’s public statement from HTC…
Warrior Pro, through Lefty McDaniel, was quick to send out an official response denying the claims and calling the accusations baseless. But on Duke Master’s debut podcast “Wrestling Master Podcast” Lefty had this to say: Lefty went on the hype a special Thanksgiving Day Warrior Grounds:
Rampage Hunter vs Dude Springfield Brick Casey vs Tommy Masshole MAIN EVENT: Reed Brothers vs Gears of War
Plus we’ll hear from John Logan, Paco Pequeno, and Vic Baron on the brutal attack that closed out last weeks show!

Warrior Grounds #28 The show opens with a replay of Vic Baron’s sneak attack on World Champion John Logan. Paco Pequeno then walks out to the ring to be interviewed by Roger Craig, thunderous boos from the crowd raining down...Paco leaves the arena as the crowd showers him once again with boos...Rampage Hunter vs Dude SpringfieldRecap:A one sided thumping from Rampage to the resident (maybe literally?) jobber of Warrior Pro. Dude did his best, but eventually Rampage just suplexed him over and over and over till the poor guy couldn’t get up. Winner: Rampage Hunter Rating: ** After the match, Rampage grabbed a microphone…Brick Casey vs Tommy MassholeRecap:Brick was accompanied to the ring by his trainee, Tower- but the massive vet didn’t really need any help. Tommy’s first match since losing the Luxurious Purple Jacket wasnt anything to write home about, and after some teases that the match might start tipping the Masshole’s favor, Brick sent him home with a thunderous choke slam. Winner: Brick Casey Rating: **The crowd errupts as John Logan comes out to the ring to be interviewed by Roger Craig...Logan shakes Craig’s hand and leaves the ringMAIN EVENT: Reed Brothers vs Gears of WarRecap:With both teams coming off wins last week, it would be logical to assume that the winner would be on the short list to get the next title shot after the December 9th show. The match was predictable competitive from the jump, but this version of the Reed Brothers has been a revelation. After a back and forth match Rip Reed went up top and nailed a Death From Above senton on Bobby Clash that saw him instantly grab his side in agony, with the match forced to be stopped for injury. Soon after the match the diagnosis appeared to be three broken ribs for the former tag champ... Winner: Reed Brothers Rating: ***After the show, the company announced the card for the as yet to be named December 9th show…
Lizzy Jett vs Fiona Walsh Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers vs Bingo Hall Mutants Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt vs Byron Worthy Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent Wrestlers Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)

Lots of worldwide wrestling news trickling in this week, with promotions ramping up to close out the year. Here’s a breakdown from the various companies... Warrior Pro WrestlingLeft McDaniel touched on a variety of topics in his weekly press scrum to promote the December 9th show. Lefty had this to say on the subject: Lefty also announced a press conference for Monday, where we’ll hear from all three champions and challengers. Breaking News On Monday, Warrior Pro Wrestling abruptly cancelled their scheduled press conference without warning, claiming that the event would be rescheduled for the following day. After multiple reschedules, Warrior Pro Wrestling canceled their press conference to promote Warrior Grounds #29. The work to fix water damage inside Gorilla Hall was still ongoing as of this writing, and with a Bay Area storm preventing an outdoor setting for the event, the decision was made to scrap the press conference all together. Warrior Grounds #29 will still go on, as planned, tomorrow- Wednesday 29th at 5:30pm PT. All three titles will be on the line, plus a trios match between Humble Talent Wrestling and Warrior Pro, with the winner choosing a stipulation at a future HTW show. Humble Talent continues to blast press ahead of the match, with the expectation that it will continue until the issue is settled in the ring. The card for tomorrows show: Lizzy Jett vs Fiona Walsh Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall Mutants Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron Worthy Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent Wrestlers Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)

After a nearly 4 month gap, Warrior Pro Wrestling finally returns to live shows. Tonight acts as the companies last event of the 2021 year, and it looks to go out with a bang with all titles on the line, the debut of two new wrestlers in the organizations women’s division, and a 6 man cross promotional tag match with heavy implications on the line. The action kicks off at 5:30pm PT on Twitch!Match PreviewsLizzy Jett vs Fiona WalshThe second showcase of Warrior Pro’s newly minted women’s division pits Lizzy Jett, a darling of the LA indie scene, with Fiona Walsh. Fiona returns home after a three year run in Blackwood Academy, where she won both singles at tag gold, to prove to management that the long term investment paid off. Expect the action to be fast and furious, with both looking to make a name in their first match in front of a WP crowd. Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall MutantsThe Reapers have torn through the Warrior Pro tag division, and now have their sights set on one of the truly legendary teams in all of wrestling. This likely will not be a technical affair, with the match more appropriately resembling a bar room brawl. A win for the Reapers would cement them as a premier tag team in the world today, while a win for the Mutants would bring them a new championship on what is already a hall of fame resume. Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron WorthyDoc Wyatt’s year plus reign that includes 8 title defenses stands as maybe the most impressive line item on an already impressive wrestling resume. This however will be a match more bread out of personal beef than championship aspirations. Byron Worthy, once a protege of Wyatt in the Outlaws, did not take well to his firing earlier this summer and looks to cement his place as the guy that dethroned “The Outlaw.” Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent WrestlersWhat has started as a weird lawsuit has blossomed into a full on promotional war. Irked by the shared use of the event name “End of the World” last year, Humble Talent Wrestling CEO Von Muller sued Warrior Pro over the name. To avoid a courtroom, the two sides decided to settle it in the ring. This trios match will allow the winner to decide the match stipulation for HTW’s end of the year show- with the winner winning the rights to the name “End of the World” plus an undisclosed cash settlement. Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)Something has obviously snapped in Vic Baron. The usually cool headed, thoughtful, generational wrestler has taken to attacking anyone in his path since this years G2- and now he seems dead set on aligning with Paco Pequeno’s band of thugs. Maybe the real rivalry is between John Logan and Paco, who’s alliance crumbled when Logan was fired by Midas Mathews from Golden Touch Promotions. Regardless, the result is a World Title fight between two of the companies best wrestlers- with the potential for the last match of the year to be its best.

Warrior Grounds #29 Warrior Grounds 29 is in the books, and the last show of 2021 was a banger. You can check out the full show below, then scroll down for all the recaps and fun post match shenanigans....
Lizzy Jett vs Fiona Walsh Recap:Well, turns out Fiona Walsh might be ready for the big time. The rookie, who has been honing her craft over in Blackwood Academy for the better part of three years, came out of the gate firing on all cylinders- dictating pace and just generally rag dolling poor Lizzy Jett all over the ring. A Car Bomb suplex ended this match before it ever really had a chance to get started. Winner: Fiona Walsh Rating: ***Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall Mutants Recap:Holy hell was this a war. We knew going in that the Reapers saw the Mutants as spiritual mentors, and you could see that up close as both teams just stood in the pocket and let the haymakers fly. The Reapers have built their resume by being able to take the other teams best blow, then just submit them anyways- but this time the blow was just too much. The Mutants knocked Tyson Heyward out cold, and took their Warrior Pro Tag Belts for good measure. Winner: AAAANNND NEEEEEW Tag Team Champions, the Bingo Hall Mutants Rating: *****Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron Worthy Recap:I guess we all should have seen this one coming. Byron came out of the gate looking like a million bucks- owning the ring and overwhelming the champ with his strength and positioning. But he couldn’t seem to put The Outlaw away. And then Doc started turning to dirty tactics- brass knucks, low blows, the works. Then just when it seemed Worthy would overcome all of that and finish Doc off… Wyatt nails a Black Gold cutter and retains the belt. After the match Doc shoved off referee Billie Moore and sank in a figure four for good measure. Man that guy is such a dick... Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: ****Team Warrior Pro vs Team Humble Talent Recap:Fast paced, hard hitting, and straight to the point. As far as trios matches go, this one spent zero time messing around- especially given the stakes. Team Warrior Pro, decked out in 80’s inspired gear, looked good to start but also never seemed to get into a rhythm- an obvious pitfall from a group of singles wrestlers that had never worked together. Team HTW was more cohesive, worked their corner, and eventually hit a devastating top rope knee drop to secure the win. They now own the stipulation for the “End of the World” match that will decide the cash, the legal rights, and probably more stuff I cant remember right now... Winner: Team HTW Rating: ***Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno) Recap:If this had to be the last match of the year, it was a hellova sendoff. Vic Baron was accompanied by his new manager Paco (plus all his cronies), and they immediately made an impact. Logan, never one to shy away from a fight decided to take on the whole gang (not a well thought out strategy) and got busted open for his trouble. It seemed to motivate him more- throwing everything he had at the challenger, but this version of Vic Baron seemed built to absorb it all. He kicked out of the Sky High. He kicked out of the Logans Run. He found the ropes for another Logans Run. All the while he kept the pressure on the champ, and after ducking a lariat he countered into a package piledriver, then locked in the Killa Crossface right in the center of the ring. Winner: AND NEEEEEEEEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Vic Baron! Rating: *****After the match, Baron continued to lock in the crossface as Logan passed out. Officials tried to maneuver around Paco’s crew to get to the ring, when suddenly, out on the ramp, Doc Wyatt appeared- pointing at Vic and making a motion at the world title belt as the show went off the air. There was no press conference after the show, but injury updates were given for both Lizzy Jett and Tyson Heyward. Both suffered concussions and had further tests scheduled in the coming days to determine severity. John Logan was also being evaluated though no official injuries were reported.
