It's the last night of block action before the finals next week, and if you ever needed any proof that wrestling isn't fake- how about a five week tournament where both blocks are decided before the last week of action? Tank rectified the meaninglessness of this weeks card by making the Doc Wyatt vs Austin Baron match be for Doc's Intercontinental Championship. Action kicks off TOMORROW at 5:30pm PT on TWITCH Before we get to the match previews, both Doc and Austin gave thoughts on the match... Doc Wyatt Austin BaronMatch Previews: Group AJimmy Hawkins vs Cowboy JohnstonThis is Cowboy's last chance to pick up a win in what has turned to be a deeply frustrating tournament for the legend. He'll have his hands full trying to score it against Jimmy Hawkins, who has been an extremely tough out for everyone he's faced this tournament, and will surely want to end the G2 will a high profile win. This could easily win match of the night. Danny Angelo vs Pantero Negro JrPantero has nothing to gain from this one other than to become the second wrestler to go undefeated in their block (John Logan doing that twice). But he better be careful, because despite his record Danny Angelo has been extremely impressive in his first tournament, upsetting Cowboy and taking Doc and Pantero to the brink before losing close matches. If Pantero is engaged its hard to see him losing, but a Danny Angelo upset would be a nice leaping off point for the talented young star. Group BMarkus Winter vs Skip LegdayMarkus Winter, for the second straight year, has put on an extremely impressive G2 run that is going to fall just short of the mark. The question is can he finish strong and take that momentum into future gold, or will the STRUGGLE star Skip Legday provide a reminder that The Last Viking still has some growing to do. Expect both men to be motivated to prove that they could have been worthy block winners had a couple breaks gone their way. Byron Worthy vs Machine Gun MayhemMachine Gun is in the same boat as Pantero, with the block wrapped up the only thing left to question is will he make it a perfect sweep. Byron Worthy has lost a pair of razor thin decisions and would love to claim the only win over the former Heavyweight Champion. This could come down to how motivated Machine Gun is, given his motivations remain a bit of a mystery and reports are he has continued to be distracted by his match last week with Toca. Tocapelotas vs Vic BaronThis was suppose to be Vic Baron's return to the main event, his comeback. It hasn't worked out that way, suffering three straight losses after an impressive opening night victory. Now he sits as a potential victim of Tocapelotas who, after a slow start, seems to be gaining steam and looking to finish off the tournament taking down a former champion. Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Austin BaronThe main event, originally scheduled to be the A Block finale, pits the longest reigning champion in Warrior Pro history against a legend who has been turning back the clock for over a month. A win for Doc would be another feather in his cap and pour more fuel on his tensions with Tank. A win for Austin would thrust the 50 year old back in the limelight and... also probably pour more fuel on Doc's tensions with Tank.

The last night of block action was an eventful won, including a nail biter of an Intercontinental Championship fight to cap everything off. We already knew it would be Machine Gun vs Pantero in the finals, but the card still provided some great matches, and a window into what's to come for both the finals show and Warriorversary next month. Scroll down for full matches, recaps and post show interviews… Jimmy Hawkins vs Cowboy JohnstonRecap:This, finally, was the Cowboy Johnston we had assumed would be present for the entire tournament. Flying around confidently and willingly, the big Texan looked every part the legend he was touted when the G2 kicked off. But his month long struggles still lingered, mainly he just couldnt seem to get Jimmy Hawkins- who despite his record has been excellent throughout the tournament- into a position to finish him off. Maybe Cowboy was pressing too much, and instead left himself vulnerable in the corner and "Flyin" Jimmy capitalized with a Hawk Splash that would leave the Office vet winless for the tournament. Winner: Jimmy Hawkins Rating: ****Danny Angelo vs Pantero Negro JrRecap:Danny Angelo has found wins hard to come by in his first G2, but he definitely gave fans a peak into what his future might hold. Angelo was aggressive and confident, and hit multiple Doctor Bombs that seemed to signal an end to the match, but Pantero has been unstoppable. Weathering the storm (and managing to avoid numerous lariats) the rudo star eventually hit a Buenos Noches in the middle of the ring to cap off a perfect undefeated block. Winner: Pantero Negro Jr Rating: **** Markus Winter vs Skip LegdayRecap:Its possible in an alternate timeline Skip Legday would be competing in the Finals of the G2. Maybe his cocky nature got in the way of, you know, pinning his opponent. Maybe his commitments to his home promotion had him distracted (not that he has any coming up anyways). Whatever the reason we saw, once again, Skip physically dominate an opponent only to dick around until he himself go dropped on his head. The result for Markus Winter was an impressive 4-1 record and what should be the start of bigger things coming out of the G2 for the rapidly rising star... Winner: Markus Winter Rating: ****Byron Worthy vs Machine Gun MayhemRecap:Byron Worthy started out the match taking it to an obviously distracted Machine Gun. Usually dominate, MGM was tenative, and noticeably less decisive. The young Worthy took advantage, dictating offense and even scoring some quick near falls. But then Worthy's strategy curiously turned stubbornly to legwork- working it over and over again instead of setting Machine Gun up for any number of finishes. Whatever the strategy reasons, it didnt pay off- as the big monster eventually recovered and knocked Worthy out with a thunderous running boot to cap off his own perfect 5-0 block. Winner: Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: ***Tocapelotas vs Vic BaronRecap:This was definitely a contrast in styles. Vic spent most of the match trying to wrestle a traditional style while Toca amusingly avoided the overtures to do crazy goofy Toca shit. The strategy seemed to work most of the match, with Vic getting more and more frustrated, leaving him open to Toca's flash pins. It seemed a Toca win was inevitable, but Vic finally found a small window of opportunity to sink in the Crossface Killa and pick up the win. Winner: Vic Baron Rating: ****Intercontinental Championship Match: Austin Baron vs Doc Wyatt (c)Recap:If anyone thought Austin Baron would shy away from his first title fight in over 15 years, they were proven wrong right from the opening bell. Baron looked like the stronger, faster wrestler from the moment the match started- dictating the pace as well as where the match went. The end seemed inevitable, and you got the sense the crowd felt it too. And then good ol Doc did what he always does, pulled the win right out of his butt- hitting a Black Gold cutter out of nowhere to retain the title. Winner: AAAAAND STIIIIILL Champ, Doc Wyatt Rating: ****Several wrestlers were made available to the media after the show... Doc Wyatt and fellow Jackson Hole Outlaw Byron Worthy sit at the podium following Doc' successful title defenseVic Baron is sitting at his locker, still in full ring gear as a reporter asks him how he felt finishing up a disappointing tournament with a win...Pantero Negro Jr takes the podium next...Last to the podium, Machine Gun Mayhem sat uneasy, scanning the room and ignoring as the press asked away about the FInals, his undefeated record, and his chance to become the first two time G2 winner

After five weeks of block action, we are on the eve of the G2 finals. The winner will face John Logan for the World Heavyweight Title at Warriorversary III, while the loser will have to simply dream of what could have been. Big news regarding the undercard as well, with it being announced that the STRUGGLE tag teams titles will also be on the line, effectively making this a title vs title match (There's a fella named Abdul that keeps calling regarding this stipulation but we've been sending it straight to voicemail). All the action kicks off tomorrow at the normal time- 5:30pm PT on TWITCHMatch Previews:Markus Winter vs Jimmy HawkinsBoth young stars finished up the tournament on winning streaks- with Markus especially hot, winning his last four matches after dropping the opening round to eventual block winner Machine Gun Mayhem. This match may have some extra juice behind it, with rumors that the winner could receive an Intercontinental Championship match at Warriorversary. With how both men have been wrestling, this one could steal the show... Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston vs Jackson Hole Outlaws (Doc Wyatt & Roy Carter)The history between these four men is a mile long, and intertwined so much its hard to even know who is suppose to be on the "right" side of anything. There is an aura of finality around this match-up, with all four men speaking of using this match to settle all scores. Expect everything to be left out in the ring in what could quickly devolve into an old fashion bar fight. Luxurious Purple Jacket: Tommy O'Malley (c?) vs TocapelotasTommy never earned this jacket, but it hasnt appeared to stop him from defending it. He may have finally met his match in the eccentric Toca, who despite a disappointing G2 record easily walked out as the fan favorite of the tournament. Expect literally anything to happen in this match, and for all of us to feel dumber when its finished. Tag Team Championship (Both Warrior Pro and STRUGGLE): Grim Reapers (c) vs the Coke Brothers (STRUGGLE)What was already looking like one of the more exciting cross promotional tag matches of the year just got more interesting when the Coke Brothers put their own newly won tag titles on the line in addition to the Reapers own belts. These might be two of the best tag teams in the business today, so expect a highly entertaining fight that will have major ramifications for both companies when its all said and done. G2 Finals Match: Machine Gun Mayhem vs Pantero Negro JrNever has there been a G2 Finals where both block winners entered undefeated. Pantero Negro, one of the top stars in Mexico, has never looked better- besting Doc Wyatt and a resurgent hall of famer Austin Baron to earn A block honors. Machine Gun Mayhem, last years winner, fought back former champ Vic Baron as well as hot shot up and comers Skip Legday and Markus Winter to earn a second straight trip to the finals. There can only be one winner- and this could, on paper, be the best finals we've seen yet.

The G2 Finals turned out to be a wild show, on par with the entire tournament and a fitting close out to the six week affair. The night featured titles on the line, the G2 tournament at stake, and one of the best matches in the history of the promotion. And after the show, the press room turned into a warzone as the card for Warriorversary next month starts to take shape. Scroll down for full matches, recaps and post show interviews… Markus Winter vs Jimmy HawkinsRecap:Markus Winter has turned into a world beater ever since his week one loss to Machine Gun. The Last Viking absorbed some strong early offense from Jimmy Hawkins before ending his night prematurely with what is quickly becoming one of the deadliest finishers in wrestling- the Winter is Coming. Winner: Markus Winter Rating: ***Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston vs Jackson Hole Outlaws (Doc Wyatt & Roy Carter)Recap:An emotional match dripping with history, both sides started off conservative and methodical- not wanting to show their hand on strategy. The first half of the match played out like a throwback to something you'd see in the 80's- lots of tags, lots of wearing down and trying to cut the ring off from the other team. As time wore on the pacing picked up, with Red especially offering up thunderous closelines to Roy Carter in an attempt to finish things off. The outside played in as well with both Byron Worthy and the Cogburn Ranch making themselves present to add shenanigans on the outside. In the end, in the most fitting way, Cowboy Johnston won powerbomb Doc Wyatt almost through the ring to pick up the victory and potentially put this years long rivalry on ice (for now). Winner: Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston Rating: ****After the match, Red and the Cogburn Ranch would hoist up Cowboy as the crowd roared, while the Outlaws quietly exited the ring- Doc obviously still feeling the effects from that powerbomb.Luxurious Purple Jacket: Tommy O'Malley (c?) vs TocapelotasRecap:This time, Tommy had nowhere to hide. The drunkard from Boston tried to does Toca's unorthodox offense for as long as he could, but eventually Toca scored the victory right in the middle of the ring- finally bringing the Purple Jacket home to the iWe. Winner: AAAANNND NEEEEW Luxurious Purple Jacket Owner Tocapelotas Rating: ****Warrior Pro and STRUGGLE Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs the Coke Brothers (STRUGGLE)Recap:Simply put, this was the best tag match the company has ever produced. An interesting contrast of styles- the Coke Brothers flashy high flying "energy" vs the Reapers methodical brawling precision created a dynamic back and forth that made it hard to see who was gaining the upper hand at any point. The Coke Brothers dazzled the Warrior Pro crowd, and had a few oh so close near falls, but in the end Tyson Heyward caught Ricky Coke in the Deaths Door submission and passed out, making the Reapers both Warrior Pro and STRUGGLE tag team champions. Winner: AAAANNND NEEEEW DUEL CHAMPS the Grim Reapers Rating: *****Before the Main Event, Lefty McDaniel surprises everyone by making his way to the ring...G2 Finals Match: Machine Gun Mayhem vs Pantero Negro JrRecap:A shocker of a match. This one was never really competitive, with Pantero dancing around trying to find an advantage on the big man, while Machine Gun just simply absorbed Pantero's offense, waited in the pocket and unleashed a thunderous Bone Breaker powerbomb that ended the night- making the match look closer to a squash than a main event. Winner: AAAAND 2021 G2 Winner Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: **After the match John Logan appeared on the entrance ramp, slowly walked down the ring and faced off with his Warriorversary opponent, a rematch of their epic match last year at End of the World. After the show several wrestlers were made available in the press room… Red and Cowboy came out first to be interviewed by Roger "Humm Baby" Craig. After a brief staredown, both tag teams walk off and tables are set up and Markus Winter plus his manager Ivar the Unworthy sit down to address the media. But as Ivar is readying his first answer to the simple question of "how does Markus feel after his win", Vic Baron storms out of the back and cracks Markus in the skull with a thunderous chair shot.Security lead by owner Tank McDaniel come out to break things up. Vic immediately drops the chair with is arms raised up in compliance. As he is escorted out of the room, doctors attending a now conscious but very woozy Markus, Vic taunts Winter, repeadedly yelling "This isn't over!."
With order restored and Markus helped to the back, MGM takes the podium, Toca following quickly and seating himself next to Machine Gun.
Toca and MGM leave the press room, effectively ending the press conference....
