On Friday, Warrior Pro Wrestling returns with its first show since Warriorversary with Warrior Grounds #20, taped live from Gorilla Hall. Besides an extremely entertaining card, the show promises to also feature promos from the likes of Vic Baron, The Jackson Hole Outlaws and more… Card Preview: Brick Casey vs Markus WinterA first time meeting for these two, as both attempt to raise their profile to get back into the title picture. Markus Winter will look to get his mojo back after taking an undefeated streak into an impressive showing at the G2 tournament, before losing to Rampage Hunter in a bid to get a shot at the World Title. His opponent, Brick Casey, is looking to build off his Warrior Grounds #19 win over Roy Carter and make a case that the veteran giant belongs in the World Title conversation. This one should bring fireworks. Reed Brothers vs Bay BallerzAfter coming up short at Warriorversary, the Bay Ballerz are looking to get right back into the chase for the next shot at the tag team belts. In their way are the Reed Brothers, who are hoping a win here will springboard their chances to get a shot at the winner coming out of DESTRUCTION. Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship Match: Doc Wyatt vs "Flyin" Jimmy HawkinsA rematch from arguably one of the best matches in the G2 tournament. Jimmy Hawkins is riding back to back wins over John Logan, and the hope is he can accomplish what he came so close to doing almost 3 months ago- beat Doc Wyatt. Doc meanwhile will look to do something that hasn’t been done in almost 8 months- successfully defend the Intercontinental Championship. Looming all over this is Lance Marshall, the Phoenix Rising star that has a date with Doc win or lose at DESTRUCTION. The real question may be, is Doc looking past this match- and if he is, can Jimmy Hawkins take advantage and win himself championship gold? Tune in to this space THIS FRIDAY to see all the matches, recaps, promos and angles of WARRIOR GROUNDS #20!

Warrior Grounds #20 comes to you from Gorilla Hall in San Jose California. The show opens with highlights from Warriorversary before announcing the card for tonight's matches. As that wraps up, the #1 contenders for the tag team championship, the Jackson Hole Outlaws, make their way to the ring... Both Outlaws pose in the ring before exiting to the backBrick Casey vs Markus WinterRecap:A physical battle between the massive veteran and rising star. Markus tried to use his speed advantage throughout the bout, but Brick, the oldest active wrestler on the roster, continues to show he has plenty left in the tank- cutting off The Viking’s offense and weathering a few offensive blitzes. In the end, a massive chokeslam from the top rope was the difference maker, giving Brick the victory. Winner: Brick Casey Rating: ****After the match, former World Heavyweight Champion Vic Baron makes his way to the ring...Vic drops the mic and exits the ringReed Brothers vs Bay BallerzRecap:Fast paced and all offense as both teams try and dictate the pace right from the jump. Neither seems to have the upper hand until a late Doctor Bomb from Danny Angelo to Rip Reed knocked out the younger Reed brother, abruptly ending the match. Winner: Bay Ballerz Rating: ***Afterwards, as Rip is being attended to, Maverick grabs a mic...Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship Match: Doc Wyatt vs Jimmy HawkinsRecap:A back and forth match that saw Jimmy Hawkins continue to impress- dictating the pace for large stretches and nailing the Hawk Splash late in the match… but it wasnt enough to turn back the champion, who rallied like he so often does, and hit a Superman Punch for his first IC title defense. Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: ****As the match ends, Doc rolls Jimmy Hawkins out of the ring and asks for a mic...Doc continues to pose with the belt as the show goes off the airMinutes after the show air, Lance Marshall posted a response...

With Warrior Pro Wrestling’s DESTRUCTION still a week away, its been a bit of a slow news cycle since Warrior Grounds #20. But there have been a few updates trickling in over the course of the week both regarding Warrior Pro and the broader wrestling landscape... Warrior Pro’s Destruction Press conference, which was originally slated for this week, has been pushed to Monday of next week. Tank gave no comment on the reasons for the move, but it likely has to do with the availability of Rampage Hunter- who recently participated in the house tour in Tiger Stripe Pro. Due to the testing procedures for Warrior Pro, it is likely the push back was to allow proper quarantine for Rampage. The press conference is expected to have comments from Tank McDaniel, as well as interaction from the Main Event participants- champion Machine Gun Mayhem and the challenger Rampage Hunter. Lucha POWER returns this Friday with its first official show since February, not counting a one off house show in March. The show will have the first round of the number one contender tournament featuring virtually the entire roster, plus participation from La Guerra and Santana Family Wrestling. Danny Thorpe, the undefeated former Honoo champion, is said to be working out with an eye towards a pro wrestling debut before the end of the year. While he hasn’t committed to anything, sources say he is in negotiations with UCSS (The Office) and Dragon Fire Japan. There are also rumors that Morgan "Midas" Mathews may be negotiating on his behalf... Speaking of Dragon Fire Japan, the company has been slow to open back up since the pandemic. While rumors have been floated that money issues are tying the company up, officials inside the company insist that is not the case and in fact owner Shintaro Ito is actively planning a December show that could crown the first Dragon Fire champion in years. John Logan was a guest on the Reed Brothers podcast, putting over his rematch with Will Craddock as the biggest match of his career. He mentioned that, win or lose, he would have a major announcement after the show. And finally, the Grim Reapers hosted an outdoor BBQ to raise money for California Wildfire Relief. The socially distanced charity event was said to be a big success, but when asked about their upcoming match, the champs were unusually short on words. Billie Cannon simply stated:
DESTRUCTION will be LIVE next Thursday, October 15th at 5:30pm PT on Twitch.

Inside Gorilla Hall, the official Press Conference of DESTRUCTION took place. Typical social distance protocols were implemented, and as has been largely the case since the pandemic, Tank gave an opening statement off to the side before leaving the two main event fighters to answer questions from the media. With that, MGM leaves the table and the press conference ends...

We are a little more than 24 hours away from full on DESTRUCTION, as Warrior Pro Wrestling hosts its first live show since Warriorversary. All championships are on this line in this one, with a few grudge matches and a rematch of a MotY candidate added for good measure. The show will kick off at 5:30pm PT right HERE.
Card Preview: Maverick Reed vs Danny AngeloThis match was made at the request of Maverick Reed after a Danny Angelo powerbomb knocked Rip Reed out cold. Despite both men being accomplished tag team wrestlers, this will give them an opportunity to show off their singles skills, and perhaps set up a rematch once Rip has recovered. Vic Baron vs Red MastersonBoth Vic and Red are looking to rebound from losing their titles at Warriorversary, and there’s no better way than this Texas showdown. This will be the first meeting between the two, but theres been little back and forth talk- its rumored Doc Wyatt has forbidden the big man from talking to the media- but rest assured there will be fireworks in the ring for this one. The winner should have a case to be next in line for either singles belt. John Logan vs Will Craddock (SHTCW)The first meeting between these two stars at Warriorversary brought the house down, with Will Craddock coming out on top. Both men walked out with a ton of respect for the other, and so they’ll run it back one more time to see if they can out do their first match and if Logan can get his win back. Looming over everything is the ominous comments from Logan that, win or lose, he’ll have a major announcement after the show. Regardless, this has the inside track for MotN. Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Jackson Hole Outlaws (Worthy/Carter)The Grim Reapers have done nothing but win since coming to Warrior Pro, and they seem to be brimming with confidence as they prepare for their second title defense. Their opponents have been making a name for themselves in the lead up, as this version of the Outlaws are young and hungry. It would surprise no one if this devolves into a straight up bar room brawl. Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Lance Marshall (Phoenix Rising) vs Doc Wyatt (c)A wonderful slow burning feud between two men that defined their promotions in the early years. After a very close loss last year at New Year’s Bash, Doc Wyatt has been quietly seething while Lance Marshall has not let him forget the win he has hanging over him. Finally, the rematch has been set with the Warrior Pro IC title on the line. Will Doc do what he seems to always do and come up in the biggest moments to avenge his loss? Or is Lance Marshall the Doc Wyatt Solution, and the next Intercontinental Champion? Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: Machine Gun Mayhem (c) vs Rampage HunterMachine Gun has taken his role as World Champion… very seriously. He has been virtually unstoppable all year, winning the G2 and beating Vic Baron at Warriorversary. But Rampage Hunter is a whole different ball game. The Belt Collector has been running wild all over the country for multiple promotions, always with an eye on the belt he no longer holds. They’ll need to re-enforce the ring for this one, and it would seem unlikely that both men walk out of the ring when all is said and done. This should be a classic.

Destruction, despite some broadcasting challenges during the live show, proved to be an entertaining affair that gives some insight into the company’s direction heading into the last big show of the year next month. As always, scroll down for all the matches, recaps, and a very news worthy post show press conference... Maverick Reed vs Danny AngeloRecap:A very physical back and forth that saw both men take charge at one point or another. The ending though, was unexpected as Danny Angelo brutally powerbombed Maverick on the wood floor at ringside, calling an end to the match after Maverick proved unresponsive- calling back to Angelo’s brutal knockout of the other Reed brother at Warrior Grounds. Winner: Danny Angelo Rating: ****Maverick Reed was taken to a local hospital but as of this writing there was no update on his condition...Vic Baron vs Red MastersonRecap:A thrilling back and forth that saw Vic Baron throw everything at Red, only for the big Texan to absorb all the punishment and keep on coming after the former world champ. In the end, a bloodied Masterson would nail an Unforgiven jackhammer in the middle of the ring to pick up the impressive victory. Winner: Red Masterson Rating: ****John Logan vs Will Craddock 2Recap:Fast paced and full of action, this match was a straight up sprint- with both men going straight for big moves and skipping any feeling out process. The result was a fast one, with John Logan seemingly taking too many risks on offense that opened him up for another brutal finish from Everyone’s Favorite Comic Book Hero. Winner: Will Craddock Rating: ***Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Jackson Hole Outlaws (Worthy/Carter)Recap:As predicted, this was a bar room brawl. Neither side seemed too interested in finishing as much as beating the crap out of the other team. It took Tyson Heyward, in the Outlaw corner no less, to sink in a deep standing choke that instantly put Roy Carter to sleep 30 seconds before the time limit expired to get the job done. Winner: Rating: ***Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Lance Marshall (Phoenix Rising) vs Doc Wyatt (c)Recap:To say these two men don’t like each other would be an understatement- and it showed in the ring. Both men beat the hell out of each other all over Gorilla Hall- exchanging finishers and kicking out of everything. Eventually, Doc Wyatt would sink in the figure four, only for Lance to get out of it and Doc to drag him back and re-apply before the legend was forced to tap, evening up the records between the two to 1-1. Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: ****Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: Machine Gun Mayhem (c) vs Rampage HunterRecap:Common perception was this match would test the construction of the ring itself, and that proved to be exactly the case. These two powerhouses spent the better part of 15 minutes tossing each other around the ring as hard as they could. Neither broke, both kept coming back for more. Twice, Rampage his back breaking spears only to see MGM kick out each time. Three times MGM hit triple powerbomb Bone Crushers only to see Rampage kick out or grab the ropes. It ended up being a brutal running high boot from MGM that bounced Rampage’s head off the mat and gave the champ his first defense. Winner: Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: *****After the show, several wrestlers made their way to the press room to answer questions from the media. Machine Gun Mayhem is first to take the podium...As Machine Gun exits, a bewildered Doc Wyatt is next at the podiumBoth men stare each other down as they carefully return to the back, and John Logan enters and sits at the podium without saying anything for a solid two minutes…With that, John Logan leaves the room, ending the press conference.
