Week 3 Block B RESULTS The show opens with highlights from last night’s A block action…Yoshi Tayaki vs Johnny ThrowbackRecap:Brutal carnage, both men were bloodied- Yoshi seemed more interested in hurting Throwback than actually wrestling. That eventually became his undoing as a miss timed chair shot whiffed and gave Throwback the opening to hit a Smiths Special in the middle of the ring for the pin fall. Winner: Johnny Throwback Rating: ***Suddenly, the crowd is startled by the sudden blaring of some sultry saxophone music and two absurdly muscular men, both glistening under generous applications of baby oil, come sauntering to the ring. One of the men grabs a microphone while the other strolls around the ring, climbing turnbuckles and flexing incessantly at the crowd while winking at any female fans he can find.Brick vs Doc WyattRecap:Brick came out on fire, hitting 2 Brick Walls- determined to end this quick and early. But Doc survived the storm- barely- and slowly started to wear down the big man. But nothing he did seemed to keep him down. Eventually it took his patented brass knuckles, which split Brick wide open, to finish the job. Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: ****After the match, Doc celebrates on each ring post while Brick is checked by medics for a concussion. When Doc is finished, he comes over and offers to shake Bricks hand. Brick stares at the hand, then shoves Doc to the ground before exiting the ring, as a confused Doc looks on…Lobo Muerte vs Vic BaronRecap:A hellova fight that saw both men kicking out of each others finishers, only to end in wild fashion as Lobo would again finish with a shocking roll up, both continuing his streak and officially eliminating Baron from the tournament. Winner: Lobo Muerte Rating: ****Standings after tonight's matches...

G2 Week Four Preview Current Tournament Standings With only two weeks left to determine the bock winners, the Golden Gate Tournament enters a crucial round where at least half the field could be eliminated from contention, and in some cases a Block winner may be determined a week early. Outside the competition itself, there continues to be tension among the Jackson Hole Outlaws, where both Brick and Doc Wyatt seem to continue to show signs of strain trying to chase surprising block leader Lobo Muerte. Can the Mexican sensation continue his dominate streak? Will John Logan remain undefeated in his block? Tune in tomorrow to find out… Week Four action kicks off with A Block on Thursday, and B Block on Friday. Check back for full results…Match Previews: BLOCK ADirk van Oranje vs Salvador SosaBoth men, touted as potential block winners when the tournament was announced, sit in a do or die situation. With just two matches left and sitting at 1-2, a win will keep alive the slimmest of hopes while a loss will eliminate that man from the tournament. Because of that, expect this one to be an all-out war from start to finish, and could be MotN. John Logan vs Roy CarterA first-time meeting between these two, Roy will need a win to stay alive while Logan can eliminate everyone but Kevin Royce with a win. This one carries some history as John Logan has yet to beat anyone from the Jackson Hole Outlaws in a singles match, a streak Roy Carter would like to maintain. Kevin Royce vs Markus WinterIs this the week that Markus Winter finally breaks through for a victory? Seems unlikely, given how dominant Royce has looked in this tournament. Royce will need a win to keep pace with John Logan and set up a winner take all next week, while Winter could play spoiler and potentially gift Logan the entire block with the upset (and a Logan win). BLOCK BVic Baron vs BrickFor the second consecutive year Vic Baron has disappointed in the tournament- but there might be a silver lining this week. A Baron win would all but eliminate Brick from the block, and further strain the group given how Brick lost last week. But a Brick win would keep his chances alive, and he could even end up atop the standings if the other two matches play out just right… Doc Wyatt vs Yoshi TayakiA rematch of their championship fight from Badlands, expect buckets of blood in this one. Doc survived the onslaught in their first match, but the AAW vet has literally nothing to lose here, given he was eliminated last week and his declaration of quitting the company. This is a dangerous match for the champ- a win keeps him in contention for the top spot but a loss would all but eliminate him. Johnny Throwback vs Lobo MuerteA matchup of two outside talents that arguably are vying for MVP of the tournament. This match might end up determining the entire block- a win for Lobo and losses to Brick and Doc would seal the top spot for Lobo. A Throwback win would give him the inside track to sealing up B block next week. Who can impose their style of match could very well determine who’s getting their hand raised in the end. A promo was posted on WPW.com…Standing inside the Training Grounds facility, Brick and Roy Carter look like they’ve just completed a workout. Both men stand front of the camera, Brick with a menacing look and arms folded as Roy begins to talk

Week 4 Block A RESULTS The show opens with highlights from the last weeks block action, along with advertisement that Doc Wyatt will be challenging for the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Championship against Cowboy Johnston tomorrow nightDirk van Oranje vs Salvador SosaRecap:With both of their tournaments on the line, neither man held anything back. The match had great back and forth with Sosa kicking out of two G2S, followed by Dirk kicking out of a Swanton- before Sosa was finally put down with a cutter. Winner: Dirk van Oranje Rating: ****John Logan vs Roy CarterRecap:In their first ever meeting, Roy needed a win to stay alive in the tournament. Roy fought hard but Logan seemed to be in control of the match from bell to bell. After kicking out of the Logans Run, Carter did briefly trap Logan in the armbar- but Logan was able to get to the ropes, and another Logans Run was too much to overcome. This win eliminates everyone by Kevin Royce from the competition. Winner: John Logan Rating: ***Kevin Royce vs Markus WinterRecap:Royce headed into the main event needing a win to force a block showdown next week. This one started off fast, as Kevin Royce wasted no time immediately tracking weapons into the ring, looking to put the rookie away early. But Winter was able to fend off the attack, and caught Royce off guard with a Winter is Coming out of nowhere that knocked Royce out cold just under 9 minutes into the match, giving the rookie a shocking upset victory. This win clinched the block for John Logan a week early… Winner: Markus Winter Rating: ****After the match doctors tended to Royce, who eventually came to and left the ring on his own power…Standings after tonight's matches...

Week 4 Block B RESULTS Before the show kicks off Wonderland appears and enters the ring- presumably to respond to Austin Baron's challenge from last week. The ring announcer offers him a microphone, which he curiously declines. Circling around the ring with a giant smile on his face, Wonderland instructs the cameraman to zoom in close as he settles in the middle of the ring. He then turns around, drops his pants to reveal a giant "O" painted on one cheek, and a "K" painted on the other. Stepping out of his pants Wonderland proceeds to walk to the back as the crowd looks on, confused...Vic Baron vs BrickRecap:Brick bloodied and brutalized Vic, rag dolling him around the ring including a chokeslam and grenade on the floor. Vic seemed to take the punishment in an attempt to grab an opening for his Killa Crossface, but the big man never gave him one. In the end though, Brick curiously attempted to take Vic up top, and a counter into a thunderous powerbomb from the top rope sealed the deal, allowing Vic to play spoiler and greatly reduce Bricks chance at the block. Winner: Vic Baron Rating: ***Doc Wyatt vs Yoshi TayakiRecap:A rematch from their title fight last month, this match went down much different from their first encounter. Yoshi brutalized Doc from the beginning, keeping the champ off guard and bloodying him early. Doc tried to fight back, but a code breaker in the middle of the ring was too much to overcome. Winner: Yoshi Tayaki Rating: ***After the match, as a shocked Doc was seen getting medical attention in the ring, Brick appeared at the entrance ramp, laughing as a confused Doc looked on…Johnny Throwback vs Lobo MuerteRecap:Easily the match of the night. This was a fast paced, back and forth match as Lobo looked to follow John Logan and finish off the block a week early. Problem is, no one told Johnny Throwback- who hung with the luchador the whole way, and turned the match in his favor with back to back Smith Specials on the outside, followed by a flying head butt inside the ring for the shocking win that not only gives Lobo Muerte his first loss, but also shoots Throwback to the top of the B block standings with one week to go… Winner: Johnny Throwback Rating: ****Standings after tonight's matches...

G2 FINAL WEEK Preview Current Tournament Standings The last week of the second annual Golden Gate Tournament takes place this week, with tons of exciting action to finish off each block. Last week, John Logan finished off the A block- meaning these matches are purely for pride. However over in B block, the race is still wide open for half of the participants. Here is the breakdown of B block scenarios: If Johnny Throwback wins, he will win the block (due to his tiebreaker win over Lobo Muerte). If Throwback loses, and Lobo Muerte wins- Lobo will win the block outright. If Lobo loses and Doc beats Throwback, Doc Wyatt wins the block (due to tiebreaker wins over Brick and Throwback outnumbering anyone else’s tiebreaker wins) The Tournament Finals show has an official date. The show will be broadcast LIVE on Twitch Thursday June 6th at 5:50 PST. Official matches as of today:
Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole Outlaws 6 Man Tag Match: Wonderland Dojo vs Baron Wrestling School G2 Finals: A Block Winner vs B Block Winner
More matches to be announced next week…The FINAL WEEK of action kicks off with A Block on Thursday, and B Block on Friday. Check back for full results.Match Previews: BLOCK ARoy Carter vs Dirk van OranjeAfter a slow start, Dirk has pieced together consecutive wins. Meanwhile Roy Carter’s performance has cooled after a hot start. The winner of this match will be forced to play the “what if” game, since a win over John Logan would have given them the block win… Markus Winter vs Salvador SosaBoth men have had arguably the most entertaining matches in the tournament, and this match could steal the night. Two wins over impressive outside talent would officially stamp Markus Winter as a rising star, while a win by Sosa would salvage what must be a disappointing tournament record. Kevin Royce vs John LoganLast week this looked like a potential 1:1 match for the whole Block, but a shocking upset means Kevin Royce is regulated to try and do the one thing no one has been able to do in this tournament- pin John Logan. A win for Logan will make it two straight years of undefeated block matches, and a ton of momentum heading into the finals. BLOCK BVic Baron vs Yoshi TayakiThe only B block match without any tournament implications, this one is all for pride. Both men will be fighting to stay out of last place in the block, as Vic tries to build momentum heading out of the tournament. Vic has handled himself well in the past with the hardcore style, but Yoshi- who has made public his plans to leave the company following this tournament- will surely be fighting with nothing to lose. Lobo Muerte vs BrickLobo will need a win to hang onto any hope of completing his improbable run as a block winner. But standing in his way is a very pissed off 7 foot monster in Brick. Ironically, a win by Brick could keep alive any chances Doc Wyatt has at the block, a fact that has to anger the big man even more. Expect the man that can dictate the pace of the match to have the best odds at claiming victory. Doc Wyatt vs Johnny ThrowbackDepending on how the above two matches play out, this match could be for the block, and it could be a classic. Throwback has been impressive this whole tournament, while last year’s tournament winner has again weaseled his way into a real shot at winning the block. This match should be a brawl- and should be a candidate for match of the tournament.

FINAL WEEK Block A RESULTS The show starts out with highlights from all of A block action- specifically John Logan matches- including the controvertial ending to his match with Dirk that included interference from Rampage- concluding with a graphic showing him as the A Block winner…Roy Carter vs Dirk van OranjeRecap:Tons of striking in this one, as both men turned this into something of a shoot style match, exchanging blows and working submissions. In the end, a devastating knee to the face finished off Roy Carter. Winner: Dirk Rating: ***Markus Winter vs Salvador SosaRecap:Two of the hardest workers in the tournament put on a show for folks. Tons of near falls, and Winter looked to have it late, but the leader of the Rudo Army eventually hit an Emerald Fusion to finish the tournament with another win. Winner: Sosa Rating ****Kevin Royce vs John LoganRecap:Royce started off looking like that drop on his head from last week was still bothering him, but after getting hit with back to back lariats from Logan, the deathmatch in him woke up. He busted Logan wide open and brutalized the A Block winner, to the point that it looked like Logan might pass out. But Logan, as he has all tournament, weathered the storm and a piledriver into a punching lariat finished off his perfect tournament. Winner: Logan Rating: ***Standings after tonight's matches...

FINAL WEEK Block B RESULTS The show kicks off showing the standings and a recap of the scenarios for winning the block. Throwback wins and he’s in. He loses and Lobo wins, Lobo is in. Both lose and Doc wins, Doc is the winner. Vic Baron vs Yoshi TayakiRecap:Yoshi surprisingly looked to be trying to play this one straight up for once, but he chose the wrong opponent for this new strategy. For the second straight year Vic seemed to be finding his momentum in the tournament too late, pulling this one out after a small package caught Yoshi off guard. Winner: Vic Baron Rating: ***After the match, Yoshi rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair- and while Vic celebrates- Yoshi connects with a thunderous chair shot that immediately knocks Vic out cold. Yoshi proceeds the put the boots to Vic until security drags him off of Baron’s unconscious body. Medical personnel attend to Vic who does appear to regain consciousness, though he is eventually taken out on a stretcher… Lobo Muerte vs BrickRecap:Lobo threw absolutely everything at Brick, but as he’s done all tournament, the big man just kept. On. Coming. If anything, Brick seemed to be playing a bit of rope a dope with the young lucha, and a powerful Brick Wall not only cost Lobo the match, but also his chance at the Block. Winner: Brick Rating: ****Johnny Throwback vs Doc WyattRecap:The closeout match may have arguably been its best. An old fashion slug fest to determine the B Block winner, Doc pulled out all his dirty tricks in this one, and it looked like Throwback had answer for all of them. Just when it seemed like Johnny just might pull off the upset, Doc pulled out the brass knuckles and BAM, for the second straight year Doc wins his Block via tie breaker, and again under questionable circumstances. Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: *****After the match, John Logan comes out and the two block winners stare each other down…. Until Roy Carter sneaks into the ring from the crowd and attacks Logan from behind, as both he and Doc double team the A block winner. Suddenly Brick appears and gets in the ring….. and pulls Roy Carter off of Logan- standing face to face with a shocked and irritated Doc Wyatt.
Wyatt and Carter, looking confused, cautiously leave the ring with Brick never breaking his stare down with Doc. When they had finished leaving, Brick exits the ring never acknowledging Logan, who looks equally as confused as Doc Wyatt…Standings after tonight's matches...

Standing just outside of Pioneer Hall, Wonderland is holding a small press conference…Wondy: Ladies and Gentledicks. It is my honor to announce to you the fine young lads that will be by my side when we collectively beat the panties off of Grampa Stickuphisass Austin Baron. The Wonderland Dojo has long been a haven for the more…eclectic side of wrestling, but it is also built on a foundation of beating the crap out of people I don’t like. Austin Baron, I don’t like you. You know who also doesn’t like you? Stan Classic. He thinks you suck at wrestling and you smell funny. So he’s in. My second partner? Well that’s a real treat…. You decided to choose a couple of your students, but I thought it more interesting with who you didn’t chose. So I called him up. Turns out he’s from LA, and he wasn’t super keen about getting shafted. So I give you my second partner, none other than Byron “Showtime” Worthy. I’m gonna beat you Austin. I’m gonna beat you like a lonely 13-year-old that’s been left at home by himself for a whole weekend… Reporter: Wonderland do you- Wondy: NO QUESTIONS! (Wonderland leaves the podium, ending the press conference.)

The 2019 Golden Gate Tournament finishes off with a bang tomorrow when the winners of both blocks, John Logan and Doc Wyatt, face off in a rematch from last years finals. At stake is an opportunity at the Warrior Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. In addition, two other major titles are on the line as the Warrior Pro Tag Team Champions face off against a buff set of challengers, and a rematch for the iWe Intercontinental Championship from Badlands takes place. And if that wasn’t enough, the fate of Training Grounds is at stake as the Wonderland Dojo faces off against the Baron Wrestling School. All the action kicks off tomorrow, June 6th at 530pm PST LIVE on TWITCH.Match Previews: G2 Showcase Tag: Kevin Royce/Salvador Sosa vs Johnny Throwback/Lobo MuerteA showcase of the best performances from both blocks of action from the G2 tournament. Kevin Royce and Salvador Sosa will try to thwart the two runners-up from Block B. Meanwhile Lobo Muerte and Johnny Throwback will try and shake off their last match defeats and end the tournament on a positive note. iWe Intercontinental Championship: Dirk van Oranje vs Rampage Hunter IIA rematch that came to pass after Rampage’s interference cost Dirk a shot at the A Block. Can Rampage avenge his loss to the Flying Dutchman? Or will Dirk continue his historic dominance with the Intercontinental title and set his sights toward a more prestigious crown? Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole OutlawsBeef and Brad love to look good, and love looking at themselves looking good. What would make them look better? How about a big shiny gold belt? The issue might be taking it from the Jackson Hole Outlaws Brick and Roy Carter, who have looked dominant as a team despite some fraying in the group as a whole. Can the Oiled Up Bro’s take the gold or will the Outlaws continue their run? Wonderland Dojo vs Baron Wrestling SchoolThis one has a bit of history. A slowly building association with the Wonderland Dojo proved too much for Austin Baron, the head trainer for Warrior Pro, to sit around and take. The result was Baron attacking Jack Gold- a recent Dojo addition who was kicked out of Austin’s school- and getting suspended for his troubles. Now Wonderland and Austin will face off for control over the Warrior Pro school, with a heavy dose of bad blood mixed in… Golden Gate Tournament Finals: Doc Wyatt vs John LoganThese two have been circling each other for a year- pretty much since the last time they both fought- and we will finally get the rematch we’ve all wanted. If Logan wins he earns another crack at Doc- this time for the championship. If Doc wins, he gets a chance to choose his challenger for the title from anyone that participated in the tournament. This one could bring the house down…

Last night the 2019 Golden Gate Tournament came to a close with a very exciting Finals show, with two titles on the line, plus the fate of the tournament itself hanging on a rematch of last years finals. Scroll down for all the matches and recaps, as well as post show promos from the participants… G2 Showcase Tag: Kevin Royce/Salvador Sosa vs Johnny Throwback/Lobo MuerteRecap:A star studded match from four men that lit up the tournament. Each man seemed to pick up where they left off in block play- Lobo flying, Throwback tossing people around, Sosa refusing to be pinned, and Royce bringing the chairs. As it turned out, the chairs would be the undoing of Kevin Royce, as a Dark Phoenix from the top rope nailed Royce on his chair, knocking the big man out cold. Ring doctors needed to help Kevin to the back after the match… Winner: Johnny Throwback and Lobo Muerte Rating: *** iWe Intercontinental Championship: Dirk van Oranje vs Rampage Hunter IIRecap:This was, quite simply, the instant frontrunner for match of the year. Rampage and Dirk left it all int the ring, and it seemed to turn into a battle of Rampages spear vs Dirk’s axe kick. After several close kickouts from both men, a devastating sequence from Rampage saw a top rope suplex into consecutive spears for the dramatic victory. This would crown a new IC champion for the first time in over a year… Winner: Rampage Hunter Rating: ***** Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole OutlawsRecap:The best looking tag team in the business, Beef and Brad, looked to steal the tag team titles in their first match from the Jackson Hole Outlaws, a team that has struggled with infighting over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately for The Beefiest Duo, the infighting didn’t stretch into the ring as the Outlaws looked their usual dominant selves, securing a victory when Roy Carter sunk in an armbar that he refused to let go of even after the bell rang… Winner: Rating: ***6 Man: Wonderland Dojo (Wondy/Stan/Worthy vs Baron Wrestling School (Austin/Angelo/Markus)Recap:A ton of bad blood here, and some major stakes- with the future of the Training Grounds school up for grabs to the winning captain of either team. For a while it seemed like Team Baron would have the match in hand, overwhelming the Wonderland Dojo. But Wonderland himself would remind the wrestling world he’s far from finished as a wrestler, shaking off a Winter is Coming and nailing the promising rookie Markus Winter with a bridged suplex for the win, and the position of Head Trainer… Winner: Wonderland Dojo Rating: ****Before the main event could get started, Machine Gun Mayhem made a surprising appearance…Golden Gate Tournament Finals: Doc Wyatt vs John LoganRecap:As with any Doc Wyatt match, lots of words were exchanged before this bought, and most of them were backed up in the ring. But John Logan seems more determined than ever, and Doc seemed overwhelmed in a way we’ve never quite seen. For the first time since Warrior Pro opened its doors, Doc Wyatt has lost two singles matches in a row. A third one would spell the end of his reign as champion, and allow Logan to finally realize his dream. Winner: John Logan Rating: ****After the show a few wrestlers were made available to the publicAustin Baron began to talk to reporters before Byron Worthy walked by… John Logan talks to reporters about his win Brick and Roy Carter are seen outside Doc Wyatt’s locker room…
